Then I found a little hut on top of a mountain, but couldn't talk to the Tauren there. I had to run all the way to Ratchet, talk to a goblin who told me to go there, so that I could run all the way back so she would talk to me. That annoyed me to know end. What they do offer that attracts me as a player are 1) a sense of exploration and discovery, akin to that found in reading a fantasy novel; 2) a tactics-based, test-of-skill gaming experience, against both computer- and player-controlled opponents; 3) a social group with which to share the experience of 1 and 2.
