TPC 171: A Walking Dead Topic

December 18th, 2011 · David · 3 Comments

* This episode is explicit

* We start talking about movies

* I lost my show notes about half way through this

* WE SPOIL THE HELL OUT OF WALKING DEAD. SERIOUSLY. DO NOT LISTEN FURTHER IF YOU’RE NOT CURRENT ON THE SHOW AND ARE NOT CURRENT ON THE COMIC.

SERIOUSLY. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED

    I like the Podgecast, but there are a few things in this episode that drive me crazy. First off, I don’t care about spoilers. I have never read a single Stephen King novel, but I listened to you guys discuss the Dark Tower series because 1. I don’t care about spoilers. 2. When you guys actually discuss something it is usually entertaining.

    The fact that Paul hasn’t seen the walking dead or read the comics is a little excusey to me. Although , he managed to use that lack of knowledge to an advantage by asking questions from an outsider’s perspective. However, later in the show Paul is about to say something interesting regarding Inception and gets cut off by Luke. I love Luke Meyer. I really do. Sometimes I even think the other hosts are too mean to him. But seriously, Luke, WTF man? You can watch brain corroding crap on TV 60 hours a week, but not see Inception? Either man up and rent the damn thing, or quit being a baby and let people talk about it. I listen to this show to hear the hosts talk about things. Even Luke’s endless Xbox Live prattle has entertainment value. Tiptoeing around spoilers has none.

    My takeaway?

    Get rid of Luke and Paul. Done.

    I waited a month to listen to this episode because I had not finished the omnibus Walking Dead books. Finished the last one last night and today blaahuriggsddefud! And then Joel C has already encapsulated my rage into his post.

    If you are going to talk about a show go for the full monty like you did for Avatar (the last air bender).
